This post-war Chevrolet delivery truck was built for deliverin' the goods. The Advanced Design styling reflected the optimism of the era with its 5-bar horizontal grille and large 2-piece windshield, and boasted refinements like in-dash radio and a heater/defrost system. The 6-cylinder, 216.5-cubic inch ThriftMaster OHV engine provides 90 HP, plenty of power to haul the goods from one side of town to the other. Little is known about the history of our panel truck other than it formerly made its home in Indiana. What did it deliver? Hardware? Flowers? Horse feed? Did it ever imagine that one day it would be...
Our Tap On Wheels panel truck received a top-to-bottom restoration starting in 2019 where it was fixed up, made roadworthy, fitted for duty, and redecorated to be a conversation piece at your special event. Feel free to sit your ringbearer down in the driver's seat of our vintage cab, or snap a photo of cousin Max riding shotgun!
Christina & Steve are born and raised New Yorkers who recently fell in love with the hidden gem of St. Augustine, FL as their new home to grow and raise their family of 5. As long-time entrepreneurs with backgrounds in business development, management, marketing, graphic design and straight-up hustle, St. Augustine has proven to give Christina & Steve so much opportunity to make a footprint in this community through vacation rental properties and now Tap on Wheels. Being car fanatics at heart and loving any opportunity to entertain and throw a good party, Tap on Wheels, quite literally fell into their lap. This is a perfect mix of business and pleasure for them. Meeting new people and seeing everyone having the time of our life is what they live for. If this is their way of contributing to happiness, then they are all about it.
