This is a great question! A good rule of thumb is for every 100 guests (over 21 if beverages contain alcohol) you will need 1 full keg. Our standard pours are about 14oz. That would give each guest an average of 1.5 pours for your event:
- 1 full keg (if using only 1 tap), or
- 2 half kegs (if using 2 taps), or
- 4 quarter kegs (if using all 4 taps) and so on.
The truck is equipped with 6 taps so you can choose up to 6 varieties of beverages to dispense.
We will be happy to help you determine the best amount to purchase based on the quantity of people you expect to attend, and the types of beverage you would like to have served. We are here to guide you every step of the way.
Tap On Wheels operates under a catering license so we cannot buy or sell alcoholic beverages. We can pick-up, deliver, and serve your event but we cannot purchase the alcohol on your behalf. You will be purchasing your alcoholic beverages (beer, wine, champagne, etc.) from one of our reputable distributors who essentially are our partners during this process. Both Tap on Wheels and our partnering distributor will work directly with you to help choose your favorite beverages. You will then be invoiced seperately by the distributor to pay for the alcoholic beverages. For your convenience, Tap on Wheels can pick-up your product for a full service bar experience (added fee applies).
